We celebrate with the rest of the nation the first election of an American of African ancestry to the office of the President of the United States.  While many of us may not agree with Mr. Obama's positions on important issues of the day, we do agree that it's about time!  Our prayers are with Mr. Obama and his family as they face great challenges in the days ahead.  We know about many of these troubles, such as the global financial crisis and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Others we are sure are yet to be discovered.  May Mr. Obama, his family, and his administration rely on God's guidance and may God give them the strength and protection they will need in the years to come.

We are easy to find, right on Broadway (State route 49) in Salem. We are known as the "Town Clock Church" because we have the only building in the city with a clock in the tower.
